HRO-program 11 June write-up: Third-party risk, critical supply chains and cyber resilience

In this Highly Resilient Organisations session, moderator Suzanne Janse, Program Director of the HRO Program, led an interactive discussion on the growing challenges of third-party risk, cyber supply chains and ecosystem resilience.

Together with Biswajit Behera, Lead Third Party Risk Management at ING, and Stefan van Vlerken, Solutions Engineering Manager at Okta, the session explored how organisations can strengthen resilience in increasingly interconnected digital ecosystems, where suppliers, cloud providers and software dependencies have become an integral part of the attack surface.

Drawing on practical experience and current developments, the speakers addressed topics including continuous third-party monitoring, supply chain attacks, fourth-party dependencies, threat-informed prioritisation, vendor risk intelligence and the shift from compliance-driven assurance towards resilience-based third-party risk management.
