SUMMARY:Highly Resilient Organizations Session — Cloud Resilience & Digit
 al Sovereignty
DESCRIPTION:Highly Resilient Organisations Program (HRO) - Technology & cha
in resilience This second research track within the HRO-program is about e
nsuring digital continuity by strengthening cyber resilience\, cloud sove
reignty and third-party dependency controls across the full technology ec
osystem. Strengthening these capabilities focuses on how to build resilien
ce against external service risks\, reducing the impact of both unintended
accidents and deliberate disruptions. Session - Cloud resilience & digi
tal sovereignty \nOrganisations rely heavily on cloud platforms\, creatin
g new operational dependencies. Resilience requires clarity on data govern
ance\, transparency and exit readiness with hyperscalers. As a leading voi
ce in digital infrastructure policy\, Michiel Steltman\, sets the stage by
framing digital resilience not just as a technical hurdle\, but as a stra
tegic necessity for organisational autonomy in an era of global cloud domi
nance. After that\, Marc Welters\, Chairman of NOREA and Partner IT Audit
and IT Advisory at EY\, will share practical insights on CISO's boardleve
l discussions. We discuss architectural considerations and controls that e
nsure continuity across cloud failures. Participants should be able to def
ine sovereignty measures relevant to their business strategy as a practica
 l take-away. Program 13:30 – 14:00 | Welcome   14:00 – 14:05 | Openin
